Why Is The Check Engine Light On
If your German car’s check engine light is on, it could be related to a bad sensor, a mechanical problem or electrical problem within your engine and transmission. Cars cannot be diagnosed over the phone. Your car needs to be diagnosed in a German auto repair shop by qualified technician. Diagnosis of the problem may take several hours, depending on the problem. Electrical system diagnosis may take longer. Newer German cars, like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen and Mini Cooper have several computers, one for each system, and because of that more diagnostics time may be needed.
Expert Vehicle Diagnostics
Our mechanic is expert at car diagnosis, whether it be a German, European, Domestic or Asian vehicle. He is often hired by other auto repair shops for vehicle diagnostics because of his expertise. He is also a certified Smog Technician, who can diagnose and repair your car to pass smog tests.
Vehicle Diagnosis
At Powerhouse German Automotive we do not charge for every hour that is required for vehicle diagnostics. Even though our diagnostics is not free, we charge for one hour only, even if it takes all day to find the problem. If you have us repair your vehicle, then half of the diagnosis fee is applied towards repairs. If the mechanic knows the problem right away, or if it only takes a few minutes to diagnose, we do not charge any diagnostics fee.
